Wynn and Encore Resorts said that starting March 17, they would close their doors for at least two weeks. Sands, which owns the Venetian and the Palazzo, followed suit two days later. On March 15, major casino resorts Wynn and MGM announced that they would be temporarily closing their empires along the heavily trafficked Vegas Strip. This follows a week of shutdowns on the Vegas Strip. The closures vary from property to property but should be finalized in the next few days. While the order doesn't necessarily include hotels, many Las Vegas casino companies are also closing their hotels.
